Keep in mind there are different offices that will vary slightly, but let’s cover what to expect at HFC. We are confident to share this because of the high standards we hold for care which results in frequent and consistent referrals from other providers.
It is VERY RARE that we adjust our patients on the first visit with us. Upon arrival, you can expect to be greeted by our front desk staff, then taken into an examination room to meet with the doctor. At that time, you receive a consultation and full orthopedic and neurological examination, as well as have your overall range of motion tested to be able to determine any areas of restriction or dysfunction. This ultimately helps the doctor determine the root cause of the symptoms you are presenting with.
Full spine digital x-rays are obtained, unless medically contraindicated, in order to determine if there are any structural issues going on that would help us best determine your course of care, to let us know if you need to be referred elsewhere, or if you might need another specialist involved in your care to get the best outcomes.
In most cases, that is where the first appointment ends, with the understanding that all examination and x-ray results will be reviewed at your second visit prior to starting care!
