Billions of dollars are spent annually on low back pain, including surgical intervention, shots, medications and of course… insurance deductibles and copays.
Non-surgical spinal decompression is a technique used to relieve pressure on spinal nerves and has demonstrated positive results in 71-81% of patients. Spinal surgery, while potentially more effective in very specific cases, carries inherent risks with a success rate of 95% but with complications in 10-40% of patients that can create lifelong challenges, injury or discomfort.
Spinal Decompression is also more affordable than surgery, safer, less invasive and incredibly effective for low back pain, lumbar facet syndromes and disc injuries.
Most patients seek out, or are recommended, surgery after experiencing chronic, long-term low back pain or have diagnosed disc injury. Many of these patients are not aware of the other options that are less invasive due to a general lack of knowledge present in the healthcare community about preventative measures. There is not only a lack of knowledge present, but also a lack of coverage by insurance which, when paired with years of conditioned “dependency” upon health insurance, often prevents patients from being told about or selecting a more conservative option for care.
